[Sleep induction] Sleep ASMR “Music therapy that makes children obedient”
The deep connection between music and the mind
This video explores how music has a profound effect on our minds. Recent research in psychology and music therapy has focused on the effect of music on the brainwaves and nervous system, and it has been shown that binaural beats and alpha waves in particular have a great effect on mental and physical relaxation. Based on such scientific findings, this work was designed to relieve anxiety and tension and lead to deep sleep. When composing, I carefully layered the sounds, being aware that certain frequencies calm the heart rate and breathing, bringing mental stability. In particular, by incorporating natural sounds and subtle sound fluctuations, I draw out the sense of security that the listener unconsciously experiences. This approach also makes the music useful for meditation and mindfulness practitioners, providing support in relieving everyday stress.
Improve sleep by adjusting rhythm and brainwaves
Music has the power to directly affect our brains. In this video, binaural beats are used as part of music therapy for sleep induction. This technology involves listening to sounds of different frequencies with both ears, which synchronizes the brain to a specific vibration frequency and deepens the state of relaxation. The latest research in psychoacoustics has shown that binaural beats have the effect of promoting deep sleep and improving sleep quality. In addition, this music uses beats based on the rhythm of nature, naturally regulating the listener’s heart rate and breathing, creating a state that makes it easier to fall asleep. When I composed this piece, I made full use of overlapping sounds and subtle changes over time, so that the listener would unconsciously be guided into a deep state of relaxation.
The power of sound to connect the mind and body
The music in this video is not just background music, but serves as a “sound prescription” that connects the mind and body. In particular, the low-pitched rhythm that gently regulates the heart rate and the environmental sounds that incorporate the sounds of natural wind and water support our sensory integration. Recent research has shown that balancing sensory integration is particularly useful for reducing anxiety and depression. This music not only provides a comfortable sleeping environment for people who have trouble sleeping or feel mentally fatigued, but can also be used as a tool for everyday mindfulness and relaxation. As a composer, I hope that this work will help bring peace of mind and comfort to many people.
